In the technology of the SMT patch, in order to guarantee the quality in the welding process, tin-lead series solder is often used in the electronic products, and is also referred to as solder. It has the following advantages:

a. Good conductivity, tin, resistance is small;

b. The strength of the tin-lead alloy is higher than that of the pure tin, the strength of the pure lead is higher, the weight of the electronic component per se is lighter, and the strength requirement on the solder joint in the SMT patch is not high, so that the strength requirement of the welding spot is met;

c. Strong adhesion to the leads and other conductors of the components, not easy to fall off;

d. Low melting point,180℃can be melted, using 25w external heat type or 20w internal heat type electric soldering iron can be welded.

Because tin-lead solder is made of more than two kinds of metals in different proportion. Therefore, the properties of tin-lead alloy change with the proportion of tin and lead, so it is very important for different manufacturers to choose the suitable proportion of tin-lead solder in order to meet different needs.
